PURPOSE:To increase the cooling effect by effectively removing the heat filled in a current collecting ring and to prevent the thermal deterioration of the insulator and the sealing material for the subject rotary electric machine by a method wherein a plurality of air passages, extending to the axial direction, is formed on the outer circumferential section of a rotating shaft where the current collecting ring is inserted. CONSTITUTION:When the current collecting ring 1a is inserted to the rotating shaft 2 and the current collecting ring 1a and a rotor coil are electrically connected using the conductors 6a and 6b which were inserred to the hollow section 2a on the rotating shaft 2 through the intermediary of an insulator, air passages 3a-3d, extending to the axial direction on the outer circumferential surface of the rotating shaft located at the point where the current collector 1a is inserted, are formed. Besides, a ventilating hole 4c is also provided on the insulating tube 4a which is located between the current collecting ring 1a and the rotating shaft 2 and cooling air can be sent in between the current collecting ring 1a and the insulating tube 4a. |
