Benzamides with local anaesthetic and antiarrhythmic activity, salts, and method of preparation thereof and pharmaceutical compositions therefrom

Benzamides of formula I <IMAGE> (I) are described, in which R=CH3, Cl or COOCH3; R' is a member selected from the group of dialkylamine, pyrrolidine, piperidine, and morpholine radicals. CH2R' is in position ortho, meta, or para with respect to the carbonyl group; and their salts thereof with pharmaceutically acceptable acids are described. The novel compounds exhibit local anaesthetic and antiarrhythmic activity.
