PURPOSE:To improve welding workability, by laser-fusing one steel plate in advance, butting its fused surface against the other steel plate having a cut surface which has been machined, and executing the laser-welding, in case of butt-welding of a steel plate by a laser. CONSTITUTION:A preceding plate 31 of a steel plate to be welded is forwarded into a weld line, is sheared mechanically by shears, and a part of its latter half is moved forward and is fixed by clamps 10, 11. In this state, the preceding plate 31 is fuxed by a laser torch 9, and it is made into a butting end. Subsequently, a following plate 32 is made to an end plate, is forwarded to a laser cutting and welding device, is fixed by the clamp 10, and after that, a stopper 12 is lowered, the clamp 10 is moved forward, and it is closely butted against the rear end of the preceding plate 31. After that, the laser torch 9 is rotated, and the position of the butt-welding end is aligned with the laser beam center so as to be welded by the laser torch 9. |
