PURPOSE:To perform continuous casting of either dissimilar kinds or the same kind of steel with one kind of a tundish by dividing the aundish body of a vessel shape opened in the upper part to plural subsections by means of partition walls and providing pouring ports for pouring into a mold to these subsections. CONSTITUTION:The body of a tundish 1 of a vessel shape opened in the upper part is divided to, for example, two subsections 4a, b by a partition wall 3. Pouring ports 5a, b for pouring to a mold are provided to the bottom parts of these subsections 4a, b. To perform continuous casting of dissimilar kinds of steel with this device, the molten metals corresponding to the respective kinds of steels are teemed properly within the separate subsections 4a, b respectively by separate ladles 14a, b, and casting is carried out. |
