PURPOSE:To raise the efficiency of cooling by forming nearly natural air blow-off pattern during the cooling period, and to raise the efficiency of heating by turning the air blow-off direction downward during the heating period by utilizing the characteristic of the air blow-off speed distribution of a cross flow fan and the sticking effect of air flow to a guide wall. CONSTITUTION:Under a condition that a projection 20 is set back into a guider 21 during the cooling period when the downstream end of a control plate 16 is turned toward a guide 14, the blow-off speed distribution of a cross flow fan 11 shows a characteristic shape flowing biasedly on a stabilizer 12 side, where air flow A on the upstream side, divided by the control plate 16, sticks to the guide wall 14, while the air flow B on the downstream side is attracted to the air flow A, and the joint flow C becomes of a pointed shape. Then, in case when the projection 20 is protruded from the guide wall 14, the portion of larger speed distribution is bent toward a rear guider 13, so that air flow A' on the upstream side is prevented in its sticking to the guide wall 20 and also the amount of air flow on the downstream side is increased. Thus, the width of the joint flow C is more spread. |
