PURPOSE:To control the expansion and depth of a sound image without varying the interval between speakers, by inserting a means of varying signal correlativity between two channels into a tranmission path of two channels. CONSTITUTION:An input signal applied to the input terminal IN1 of a circuit A and an output signal from an all-pass circuit 1 are added together by an adder 5, whose output signal is attenuated by an attenuator 3. A subtracter 6 subtracts the output signal of the attenuator 3 from the signal from the terminal IN1 and inputs the difference to the circuit. Further, adder-subtracter 9 adds output signals of the adder 5 and subtracter 3 together and then subtracts the input signal to lead the result to an output terminal OUT1. A circuit B, on the other hand, consists of an all-pass circuit 2, subtracter 4, subtracters 7 and 8, and adder-subtracter 10; an input signal is applied to its input terminal IN2 and an output signal is led out to its output terminal OUT1. Frequency characteristics of those circuits A and B are flat and a difference in phase between two channels oscillates to positive and negative centering on zero. For this purpose, the circuits A and B are interposed in a two-channel transmission path to decrease signal correla tivity between the two channels. |
