PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for housing the extra length of the juncture of optical fiber suck as submarine optical cable, etc. SOLUTION: A nearly circular fiber housing section 11 for winding and housing the extra length parts of the connected fibers and a bevel part 11A are disposed above an extra length housing body 10 formed on a cylinder. The optical submarine cables A, B are anchored from both sides of the extra length housing body 10 and the lead out fibers are derived outside from a slit- like aperture 13. After the ends thereof are connected to each other, the ends are reinforced by the juncture 2. The juncture 2 and the connected extra length parts of the fibers are wound and fixed to the outer periphery of the fiber housing body 11 and the extra length housing body 10. |
