PURPOSE:To obtain an economical and small-sized device without requiring an individual drive source to each drive section, by transferring a recording paper with a sole drive source capable of forward and reverse rotation and rotating a paper discharge roller to a given direction at all times. CONSTITUTION:A sole drive source 33 capable of forward and reverse rotation is provided, which drives transfer roller for a recording paper and always drives a paper discharge roller to a given direction. For example, with the rotation of a platen roller 21 drives with a pulse motor 33 via a belt 32, the recording paper payed off from a roll 18 is carried for the recording with a recording head 22. When the recording operation is finished, the recording paper is cut with a cutter 23, a motor 33 is reversed and the recording paper is drawn back by a given amount. The recording paper after recording is transferred toward discharge direction with the operation of gears 39, 43 provided via a unidirectional clutch with paper discharge rollers 24-1 and 24-2 and a gear 41 geared with the both, independently of the direction of rotation of the motor 33. |
