PURPOSE:To perform defect-position marking with simple attachment constitution by controlling paint spray printing by way of a microprocessor in accordance with the defect signals by ultrasonic flaw detection, the defect position signal by a length measuring device, etc. CONSTITUTION:A microprocessor 5, applied with the position signal from the leading end of a material 1 to be examined from a length measuring device 4, and the defect signals from an ultrasonic probe 2 and an ultrasonic flaw detector 3, determines the kinds of defects, defect positions, etc., and controls the deflecting electrode 11 of a fluid printing head 8 for marking or the like by way of a character signal generator 6 and a deflection circuit 7. At the same time, a pump 14 for supplying conductive paint liquid to the nozzle 15 of an attachment mechanism part 9, a high-pressure circuit 16, etc. are controlled by way of the processor 5, and the characters corresponding to the kinds of defects are printed on the defect positions of the material 1, whereby defect position marking is accomplished. Paint is marked in the effect positions distinctly with the attachment mechanism of simple constitution of only one kind by this system of not discriminating the kinds of defects by paint color and the like. |
