PURPOSE:To remove the activated sulfur contained in insulating oil simultaneously when a deaerating operation is performed by a method wherein a filter cell is provided between a heater and a deaerating chamber. CONSTITUTION:When the insulating oil is flown in from the direction as shown by the arrow A into the deaerating device 1, the insulating oil is heated by the heater and when passing through an activated sulfur removing filter cell 3, it is changed to a sulfide by reacting to the metal filter located in the cell 3 and the oil remains at the cell 3. An inorganic glass type or cellulose type filter is provided at both ends of the cell 3 and this filter and the metal filter are provided alternately between both end sections. The insulating oil for which actuated sulfur has been removed is deaerated in the deaerating chamber which has been decompressed by a vacuum pump 5 and is exhausted by a gear pump from the direction as shown by an arrow. As a result, an excellent quality of insulating oil can be obtained. Through these procedures, as the activated sulfur contained in the insulating oil is removed simultaneously when the deaerating operation is performed, the corrosion which will be generated on bare conductors and contact points can be limited to the minimum. |
