PURPOSE:To obtain sufficient cleaning effect and perform sharp copying by providing a cleaning means which cleans a photoreceptor through again directly contacting the photoreceptor after it has been cleaned with a magnetic brush. CONSTITUTION:A photosensitive surface 4a contacts the magnetic brush formed by a magnetic roller 20 which opposes to a developing and cleaning device 17 and is applied with high bias voltage after erasing of residual charge, whereby the toner remained on said surface is attracted to the magnetic brush side. After this, the residual toner, paper dust, etc. having failed to be attracted to the magnetic brush side are dusted off by a rotary fur brush 22 which opposes to an auxiliary cleaning device 23 and is beforehand moved. In this way, after the cleaning by the magnetic brush, the cleaning of wiping the toner and dust off from the photoreceptor by allowing the brush to directly contact with the same is carried out, whereby the sufficient cleaning effect is obtained and always sharp copying is obtained. Even more, these cleaning members per se are less in contamination and this prolongs their life and makes their maintenance easy. |
