PURPOSE:To prolong the life of the developer by affixing a cushion member and decreasing the force exerted upon the developer owing to collision. CONSTITUTION:A cushion material 12 such as resin film is affixed to a doctor 10, etc. which regulates the developer brush formed on a developing sleeve 4 to prescribed height, thereby decreasing the force exerted upon the developer colliding against the doctor 10. Hence, the peeling of the resin of the carriers in the developer and the pulverizing of the one component type developer using the magnetic toner are prevented, the fatigue of the developer is decreased and the life is prolonged. |
