<p>The used photographic fixing soln. is processed by extracting the silver or, if it has already been subjected to silver extraction, by extracting residual silver to as low a concn. as possible and then recycling a predetermined fraction of the soln. to the fixing bath. Pref. after opt. silver recovery, e.g. by electrolysis or ion-exchange, the soln. is pref. filtered. The process allows simultaneous recovery of silver and a part of the fixing soln. so that developing costs are reduced.</p> |
