The triple glazed window provides thermal and accoustic insulation, with inter-glazing ventilation. A double glazed (7,8) panel (5) with side-hung (26) pivotable opening lights and seals (18) is mounted inside an existing timber framed (1) window or an existing bay. The cavity (11) is permanently filled with dehydrated (10) gas, a second cavity (19) being filled with air whilst being ventilated from outside. Ventilation may be provided by pluggable (21) bores (20) through the frame (1), or the glazing (3) may be in the form of two horizontally slidable sashes.
