The appts. uses a luminous source which displaces in two directions and which is attached to the helmet of a pilot. The luminous beam is directed via an optical assembly to a detector. The optical assembly comprises a cube separator of which two faces are replaced by dihedral prisms in that the crest of the other in the semi transparent face. This forms two images which are transmitted via a cylindrical lens to the linear photosensitive detector. This detector is located at the focal point of the lens and at its output displaces a firing control system.
