The mains connecting plug has one or more fuse-pins. In one example of application for a continental style two-pin plug, the plug has a fuse-pin and a conventional pin (4'). The fuse-pin can be screwed in a contact (6) on which the electrical wire is connected using a screw (7). A fuse-wire (8) is soldered onto the other end of the brass component (5). A 'celeron' (RTM) (bakelite + fibreglass) tube (10) is fitted on the same end. A heat shrinkable plastics sleeve (12) is shrunk onto the tube (10). This sleeve (12) is colour coded according to the fuse rating. A brass tip (13) is fitted round the tube's (10) end and the other end of the fuse-wire (8) is soldered on that tip (13). This fuse-pin can be easily replaced.
|
