Horizontal concrete surface mould - is cast flush using vertically adjustable jacks which all lie in same plane

The horizontal surface of concrete is formed by fixing mutually spaced adjusting jacks (5) into the sub-soil (1) and vertically adjusting the tops (7) until they all lie in the same horizontal plane. Concrete (19) is then poured between the jacks and levelled off flush with the tops (7). The tops of parallel rows are interconnected by elongate strips of a material which is compatible with the concrete allowing a spirit level to be used to ensure the tops of all the jacks lie in the same plane.
