<p>The semi trailer for carrying cars is formed by a lowered chassis (1), at the end of which is a single axle (2). The load is carried between this axle and the lorry (3) towing hook. The single axle, alternatively, may be replaced by a double one. The axle may be of steering type. The lorry can be provided with an extra axle (4) as well as the normal one (5). For an 18 metre unit, the trailer can be arranged to carry either eight or nine cars, keeping inside overall height limits.</p> |
