A device for measuring the peeling resistance of a thermoplastic esp. polyethylene, pipe coating on a steel pipe consists of a reeling drum (W) driven by a regulated motor (EW) and running on the pipe circumference on rollers (L,S); the rollers are regulated drive rollers driven by a regulated drive motor (EL). A torque meter (D) is connected to the reeling drum. Preferably, the drive motor is regulated to increase or reduce its speed so as to maintain the desired peeling angle (90 deg. in the fig) by means of a forked arm riding lightly on the peeled polyethylene strip (PE) and connected to a contactor regulating the motor. Preferably also, the roller (L) is serrated or toothed. In particular for carrying out coating peeling tests according to DIN 30 670; more specifically for maintaining a constant peeling rate of 1 cm/min at an angle of 90 deg.C for a strip 1 cm wide. The device is intended esp. for large diameter pipes.
|
