This invention concerns a boat, the bottom of which is equipped with several open channels (1) which are intended to take in air whilst the boat is under way and thereby reduce the friction between the water and the bottom surface. In order to facilitate the inflow of air to the channels, these are largely parallel with the boat's keel-line along the whole of its length, looking from above and below respectively, and the channels extend in the direction of the stern from the position above the waterline from the boat's prow to the position below the waterline.<IMAGE> |
