<p>PURPOSE:To prevent a brake shoe from dragging in such a way that an interlocking member engaged with the end part of the brake shoe hits the outer end of a piston in the condition of being protected with a dust-proof boot, but provides, a radial clearance in its engagement. CONSTITUTION:A shaft part 10 is formed at the other end of an interlocking member 2 equipped with a groove 14 to be engaged with a web 8 of a brake shoe 1, inserted into an inner cylindrical part 9 on the outer end of a piston 3 with a radial clearance (s) and a dust proof boot 4 is engaged with an interlocking member 2 and the outer peripheral surface of a cylinder 5. When the brake is at work, the piston 3 and the interlocking member 2 move to the right, the brake shoe 1 turns clockwise resulting in producing the braking force. When released, even if sliding resistance is enlarged between the groove 14 and the web 8, as to inhibit relative movement the web 8 and the interlocking member 2 can slide on the outer end surface of the piston 3, so that returning movement of the brake shoe can be attained since a movement is allowed within the range of the space (s).</p> |
