The system is used for opening up galleries in underground coal mining. Ridges are secured with a cap screen, debris is carried away, props are provided, together with fine mesh warping and back filling and new drilling is carried out, with some processes overlapping. In the advance area, drilling and axial pneumatic or hydraulic backfilling of support systems in the gallery length direction, take place simultaneously. One half of the face may be drilled away, while backfilling is introduced into the other gallery half. The cap screen area may be backfilled as soon as props are connected. A multi-purpose platform can be used.
