PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a recording paper showing superior ink adhesion, water resistance and readiness for discharge and feed, by constituting a supporting body of a stretched film of a thermoplastic resin having a predetermined void content and a predetermined thickness and containing inorganic fine particles, and setting a hot-melt type ink- receiving layer on a surface of the film via a primer coat layer expressed by a formula. SOLUTION: A supporting body is constituted of a stretched film of 5-50% void content and 20-700μm thickness formed of a thermoplastic resin containing inorganic fine particles. An aqueous solution of a composition in which (a) 100 pts.wt. of an acrylic resin containing quaternary nitrogen copolymerized with monomers (i)-(iii) expressed by the formula wherein R' is H or CH3 , R<2> is a 1-18c alkyl group, R<3> and R<4> are H or a 1-2C alkyl group, and A is a 2-6C alkyl group, (b) 200-300 pts.wt. of a polyimine compound selected from a group of ethylene imine additive, benzyl modified bodies, etc., and (c) 20-300 pts.wt. of epichlorohydrin additive of polyamine polyamide are blended is applied and dried on a surface of the supporting body, whereby a primer coat layer is formed. A hot-melt type ink-receiving layer composed of a resin binder such as a copolymer of styrene maleic anhydride or the like copolymer and an ink adhesion-improving agent, etc., is provided via the coat layer. |
