The container (25) is intended for transporting and point-of-sale dispensing of packed goods (22), particularly haberdashery. It has an opening (27) at the front at which the leading pack of a row of packs (22) held in the container is presented by elastic bands (26) extending from the front around the rear of the row. Each pack is provided with a swivelable lip (13) having an opening for an alternative hanging display. This lip is pref. hinged back against the pack while this is in the container and may hinge forward on the leading pack to serve as a grip when taking this pack from the container.
