PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a polisher which can easily remove the adherent dirt or a dirty drown oxide layer from a stainless steel article without scratching its surface. SOLUTION: This polisher contains an acid such as a sulfamic acid or oxalic acid and abrasive grains of e.g. alumina and a powdery polymer such as powdery polyethylene. The abrasive grains used have a mean particle diameter of 0.5-25μm, and the powdery polymer used has a mean particle diameter of 1-100μm. The pH of the polisher in the state of a solution is adjusted to 3 or below. |
