PURPOSE:To form the fayed surfaces of upper and lower plating layers into a taper shape, activating the fayed surfaces and a lower mold surface and improve the life of the mold by forming the upper plating layer of the metal of the same kind as that of the mold on the inside surface of the mold in precedence to the lower plating layer of abrasion-resistant metal. CONSTITUTION:In a process A, the inside wall surface 5 of a mold body 1 disposed with a coller 3 is prepared by cutting and polishing, after which it is degreased and washed. Next, in a process B, the lower part 5B of the inside wall surface is covered 11 with tapes, and after an upper part 5A is subjected to activation treatment, a plating layer 4A of the metal of the same kind as that of the body 1 is formed on the treated surface and is washed. Thence, in a process D, the tape covering 11 is removed, and in a process E, the lower end part of the plating layer 4A is cut to form a tapered faying surface 10 inclined downward from the inside circumferential surface 6 of the plating layer toward the outside circumferential surface 9 of the plating layer. A faying surface 10 and the lower part 5B are prepared, degreased, and washed, and in a process F, the plating layer 4A is covered 12 by tapes and the surface 10 and a lower part 5B are subjected to activation treatment. Next, the plating layer 4B of abrasion-resistant metal is formed, and is subjected to washing, removing of the covering 12 and cutting of an excess part 13. |
