The container comprises a bottom part (1) and a lid (2) which fits thereon via a snap-in closure formed by corresponding projections (6) and recesses (12). The closure comprises a resilient portion (4) which projects upwards at right angles from the rim of the part (1) and engages the inner side wall (11) of the lid when closed. An outward projection (6) near the upper end of this portion is capable of engaging a corresponding opening (12) in the wall (11). The size of this opening is such that the closure cannot be released by finger pressure. The length of the projection preferably does not exceed the thickness of the wall (11).
