发明名称 CRANK BALANCER FOR ENGINE
摘要 PURPOSE:To enable gentle acceleration of an engine at medium and high speeds, by arranging weights to be pressed inward with springs and to be allowed to project outward in proportion to the rise of the revolution of the engine. CONSTITUTION:Weights 3 are pivoted rotatably on a balancer body 2 with spindles 4 respectively, and each weight 3 is energized inward, being inserted elastically between the balancer body 2 and the base end of each weight 3. When the revolution of the crankshaft 1 is low, the inertia of the balancer mechanism is samll as the weights 3 are pressed inward with the springs 5 respectively. When the revolution of the crankshaft 1 becomes medium or high, its rotating mass becomes large and its moment of inertia becomes large as the weights 3 extend outward against the springs 5 by centrifugal force. Thereby, the rapid rising of the revolution of an eigine is restrained, and acceleration can be gentled.
