A heating system for a dwelling located generally adjacent a barn comprises a fan (22) within a duct (20) for evacuating heated air from the barn and conducting it to the evaporator (26) of a heat pump (10). The heat pump condenser (42) is located within a water tank (52) which is in a circuit including a radiator (16) within the dwelling.
