A tapping element (24) for electrical heating appliances or the like, more particularly for taking voltage from heating conductors (13) for electrical supply of further electrical elements, such as an electric motor, is characterised by a holding portion (53) which secures the tapping element (24) and which comprises a connecting lug (55) projecting into the interior of a support member (8) and by a tapping end (56) which projects outwardly and with which a heating conductor (13) can be electrically connected. The tapping end may be constructed as a channel (56) of U- shaped cross-section, the tapping end (56) forming a cross-bar of the U and the legs of the U being insertable through perforations (54) of a support member (8). An abutment (59) may be arranged on the holding portion (53) or on each of the holding portions, as appropriate.
