PURPOSE:To obtain a sheet which permits formation of magnetic recording media having superior appearance and abrasion resistance by forming a magnetic layer on a release layer provided on a substrate by way of a protecting layer contg. tetrafluoroethylene telomer. CONSTITUTION:A paint consisting of soln. of a thermoplastic resin (e.g.; polymethyl methacrylate, nitrocellulose, etc.) is applied on a substrate 1 and is dried to form a release layer 2 having about 0.2-0.8mum thickness. Next, a protecting layer paint contg. tetrafluoroethylene telomer (preferably the one having about 0.3- 10mum grain sizes and about <=10,000mol. wt., e.g.; ''Vydax AR '' made by du Pont de Nemours, E.I. & Co.) and a binder is painted thereon and is dried to form a protecting layer 3 having about 0.2-1.4mum thickness. Next, a magnetic layer 4 consisting of magnetic powder and a binder is formed thereon, whereby a transferrable magnetic sheet is obtained. |
