PURPOSE:To facilitate the insertion work of winding and to unnecessitate the wedges at the opening parts of grooves of a stator core of the outside rotor type electric motor, by a method wherein the width at the opening part of the grooves for insertion of winding is formed as the same with the width of the grooves, and after the winding is inserted in the grooves, the outside circumference of the stator is covered with an insulator. CONSTITUTION:On the outside rotor type electric motor being arranged with the rotor 4 outside and the stator 33 inside, the width of the opening part 31b of the groove 31a for the insertion of the stator winding provided at the outside circumferential part of the stator 33 is formed as the same with the width of the groove 31a. After the stator windings 2 are inserted in the grooves 31a, the whole face of the outside circumference of the stator core 31 is covered with the insulator 34. To equip the insulator 34, it is favorable to insert a thermally shrinking tube on the stator core 31 and perform shrinkage fitting. Accordingly the insertion work of the stator winding 2 is facilitated, and equipment of the wedges at the opening part 31b of the grooves is unnecessitated. |
