PURPOSE:To prevent the generation of faulty insulation, to make insulation between a wedge and a coil unnecessary and to ensure the accommodation of the coil by a method wherein an insulator is arranged in a slot, and the parts thereof corresponding to the opening part are bent and formed remaining a gap narrower than the outside diameter of a strand wire of the coil. CONSTITUTION:The U-shaped slot insulator 9 is arranged in the slot of a stator core 3. The parts corresponding to the opening part of the slot are bent inside of the slot to cover the opening part of the slot remaining the gap 10 narrower than the outside diameter of the strand wire 5a. When the coil 5 is to be wound around in the slot, the upper parts of the slot insulator 9 are pushed further inside of the slot to spread the gap 10, and the strand wire 5a of the coil is wound around through the gap 10 to obtain the necessary number of turns. Accordingly, an interphase insulator between the magnetic wedge 7 and the coil 5 is unnecessitated, and the accommodation of the coil 5 is ensured. |
