Anti-return valve for motor vehicle fuel pipe

The anti-return valve (10) is sensitive to pressure and is positioned between the filling pipe (16) and the fuel tank. The valve has a tubular support (24) which is fixed to the tank and a tubular valve member (26) which carries a valve head (18) responsive to pressure. The rear end of the valve head is connected to the pipe (16) and the front end (38) is axially receives movably on the support. The valve tube (26) is fixed onto the support. The support tube has a stub section extending outwardly from the tank which defines a staged seating (32) which receives the front part of the valve which is of complementary shape. There can be sealing ring (40) between the two.
