A spindle adaptor for use with an umbrella center spindle record player comprises a spindle(10) adapted at its lower end to be received in the normal smaller dia. spindle receiving device(20a,20b) of the record player. The adaptor(15) carries at its upper end & a body member has record supporting fingers movable between an extended position to support a stack of large center hole records and a retracted position allowing the lowermost. A control member(13) within the spindle is movable to cause movement of the record retaining fingers and the record supporting fingers between the extended and retracted positions.
