PURPOSE:To obtain a printing mark which is closely similar to roundness, by a method wherein, when forming a printing mark with ink jet, a printing is conducted so that the direction of a record sheet, which has a small spreading amount of a dot mark produced due to the penetration of ink, is made to coincide with a relative movement direction between a printing nozzle and the record sheet. CONSTITUTION:An ink jet plotter records a picture such that a printing nozzle 12 and a record sheet S are moved relatively, and ink is jetted from the direction corssing the record sheet S at right angles by means of a printing nozzle 12. In said ink jet plotter, the direction of the record sheet S, which has a small spreading amount of a dot mark produced due to the penetration of ink, is decided from the property of the record sheet S, and printing is conducted in a manner to cause said direction to coincide with a relative movement direction between the printing nozzle 12 and the record sheet S. For example, printing takes place in a manner to cause to paper- making direction of the record sheet S to meet relative movement direction between the printing nozzle 12 and the record sheet S at right angles. This enables to obtain a printing mark which is almost similar to roundness as well as a letter or a picture which has less strain and is of high quality. |
