PURPOSE:To obtain the titled fibers having improved feeling, appearance and processing durability, by hydrolzing composite fibers consisting of two or more polyers having different hydrolytic properties. CONSTITUTION:Composite fibers obtained by the composite spinning of two or more polymers having different hydrolytic properties into a multilayered structure are treated with a hydrolyzing agent, preferably an alkaline metallic compound, e.g. NaOH. In the process, a polymeric component 3 having great hydrolytic properties is hydrolyzed more than a polymeric component 2 to give the aimed fibers of sharp edged uneven shapes at the outer peripheries of the cross sections thereof. A polyester having groups -SO3M (M is metallic element) is preferably used as the polymer having the great hydrolytic properties. |
