PURPOSE:To display many A/N symbols with low deflecting electric power, by extending a scanning stop period by eliminating a part of a PPI scan. CONSTITUTION:A CRT screen is divided by three in its radius direction; every circumferential part A is scanned, every other intermediate part B is scanned, and every third center part C is scanned. Namely, a means of generating successively azimuth angles theta1-theta6 specifying prescribed sweep signals by a signal which synchronizes with the operation of a radar antenna. Further, a means of generating division command signals R0-R1 dividing areas A, B and C according to the specified sweep signals is provided. Furthermore, a means of specifying start positions of sweeps by receiving the azimuth signals and the division command signals is provided. Thus, the sweeps are interlaced to extend a scanning stop period without lowering the image resolution of display, displaying many symbols with low deflecting electric power. The number of divisions is not limited to three. |
