PURPOSE:To simplify the structure of a fur brush cleaning device, by giving a malformation to the fur brush by pressing a pressure member to the toner carrier contact part of the fur brush and thus securing a noncontact state between the brush and the toner carrier. CONSTITUTION:A toner carrier 1 turns in the direction of an arrow A, and a fur brush 2 is provided at a prescribed position so that it has a contact rotation in the opposite direction 13 to the arrow A. A pressure member 4 is kept at the position out of a contact part between the brush 2 and the carrier 1 in a cleaning mode. In a noncleaning mode, however, the member 4 is pressed to the area where a contact is secured between the brush 2 and the carrier 1 to give a noncontact state to the brush and the carrier. As a result, the conventional shift is not required for the fur brush unit itself having a high-speed rotation, but just a contact is required between the fur brush and the pressure member. This simplifies the structure of a fur brush cleaning device. |
