PURPOSE:To inexpensively obtain the titled carrier with superior durability and sticking strength by coating each surface of magnetically sensitive core particles with a layer contg. cellulose ether resin. CONSTITUTION:Each surface of magnetically sensitive core particles is coated with a layer contg. cellulose ether resin represented by the formula (where each of R1, R2 and R3 is H, methyl, ethyl, benzyl, trimethyl, cyanoethyl or carboxymethyl; >=2 groups of R1, R2 and R3 are not H simultaneously; and n is degree of polymn.). The used resin is obtd. by allowing ethyl chloride or other halide to act on alkali- cellulose prepared by the reaction of cellulose and alkali or a mixture of cellulose and concd. alkali. Said carrier is formed by coating each surface of the core particles with the resin by spraying, dipping or other method. |
