<p>PURPOSE:To selectively separate Hg and to recover heavy metals free from Hg by heating a precipitate contg. Hg, Ce, etc. or their salts and other heavy metals such as Cu, Zn and Pb to 400-600 deg.C in a neutral or weakly acidic atmosphere. CONSTITUTION:A precipitate contg. low b.p. metals such as Hg and Ce or their salts and other heavy metals such as Cu, Zn and Pb is heated to 400-600 deg.C in a neutral or weakly acidic atmosphere to selectively volatilize Hg alone. The Hg vapor is recovered by condensation, and heavy metals free from Hg are recovered separately.</p> |
