PURPOSE:To obtain the titled toner well fixable by a contact heat fixing system by dispersing a colorant in a binder resin contg. a specific base resin composed of a polymer component with lower mol. wt. and a polymer component with higher mol. wt. CONSTITUTION:When a toner for developing an electrostatic charge image is obtd. by dispersing a colorant in a binder resin, the binder resin contains a base resin composed of a polymer component with lower mol. wt. and a polymer component with higher mol. wt. Each of the components is a polymer selected from a styrene polymer, an acrylic polymer and a styrene-acrylic polymer, and they are different from each other. The component with lower mol. wt. has >=50 deg.C glass transition point, the component with higher mol. wt. <=65 deg.C, and the base resin >=50 deg.C. The lower mol. wt. is <=50,000wt. average mol. wt., and the higher mol. wt. >=80,000wt. average mol. wt. |
