PURPOSE:To sufficiently contrive the utilization of the entire electronic computer system by using a bus managing a shared storage device as a common memory bus and managing it in sharing by all central processing units. CONSTITUTION:A bus control section is provided on a shared storage device to form a shared storage device 3 with bus control section, and controllers 12, 22 of each system are connected by a common memory bus 4. Then the controllers 12, 22 in the same processing system monitor a signal from the bus control section on the common memory bus 4 by an instruction coming from one of the central processing units 10, 20 and when the common memory bus is idle, the central processing unit applies read/write of data to the shared storage device 3 with bus control section. Thus, each central processing unit utilizes it independently and even if a part of the central processing unit in a multiplex system is inoperative due to its failure, the other central processing unit utilizes the shared storage device 3, thereby utilizing the entire system sufficiently. |
