Control system for building ventilation systems

The method involves the cooperating operation of a central speed-regulated fan, controllable air extraction valves (2.1-2.n) in the rooms to be ventilated, and sensors (4.1-4.n) for detecting ventilation requirements and controllers (1.1-1.n). Information about events leading to ventilation requirements is directly passed to the controller of the particular valve. The opening of the valve is caused by the response of at least one sensor signaling the requirement for ventilation. A bus system (7) is used for the transfer of state and control information. The effected speed control of the central fan depends on the number of air extraction valves associated with it and signaled as open via the bus system.
