The counter has a display trough set forwardly inclined on a support frame and designed as a refrigerated tray (3) with a trough-shaped body (4) and transparent cover (6). Refrigerating coils (8) are concealed along the wall (9) of the trough and are attached to a refrigerating unit (7). The refrigerating coils run in the wall parts (11,13) of the rear area (10) of the trough. The refrigerating coils are set in the rear half (11) of the trough base (12) and in the back wall (13). The cover has sliding parts (14) supported by castors on rails of the trough. The castors are adjustable and can be lowered by an operating handle from a raised free position into a lowered supporting position.
