PURPOSE:To take the bottle bottom as the image picked up by ITV cameras and reliably perform the detection of foreign matter by providing a lens which moves while aligning with the center of a bottle to be inspected, between said throttle and ITV cameras, at the bottle-inspecting position. CONSTITUTION:When a bottle 14 to be inspected is transmitted to the inspecting position by means of a star wheel 15, a stroboscope 11 is turned on, and the bottom of the bottle 14 is scanned by means of ITV cameras 16 and 17. During said bottle- inspecting time, the center of the bottle 14 and that of a lens 27 move while substantially aligning with each other, and the bottom of the bottle 14 is formed into a real image through the lens 27 and detected by means of the ITV cameras 16 and 17 through a half mirror 18. Accordingly, if the center of the bottle 14 and that of the ITV camera lens are not aligned with each other, the inspection light is never blocked by the bottle neck wall, so that the bottle bottom can be completely inspected. |
