<p>The portable electric fence comprises one or more horizontal bands of synthetic fibre tissue formed into a cloth. The cloth has stainless steel wire included in it to provide electrical conductivity. The cloths are held together by non-conducting vertical cables. The ends of the bands of cloth are supported by posts made of plastic material and situated at regular intervals. Each post has a steel tip enabling it to be pushed into the ground. The fence formed using this material forms a better barrier than a single wire, whilst not having the risk of strangulation which is present if wire mesh is used. It is intended particularly for containing sheep.</p> |
