Memory card containing an electronic circuit (11) embedded in the plastic material of the card (20). So as to avoid the appearance of electrostatic potentials which are damaging as regards use of the electronic circuit (11) an equipotential conducting volume (22) surrounds at least part of the circuit. This volume can be produced by means of a plastic coating loaded with conductive elements or by means of a screen formed by a conductive envelope embedded in the plastic material.
