PURPOSE:To improve the durability of the titled material, with lessened optically injuring by composing the titled material from a crystalline of a specified aminobenzoic acid derivative. CONSTITUTION:The titled material is composed of a compd. shown by formula (I) or (II), and said compd. shown by formula (I) is obtd. by esterifying or ester- interchanging p-aminobenzoic acid as a starting material to introduce the group -CH2-CH3, -CH=CH2 or -CH2-CH2Cl, etc., in the position of the group R<3>. And, the compd. obtd. by alkylating a hydrogen atom of the amino group contd. in p-amino benzoic acid with methyl sulfuric acid ester, etc., may be used for said compd. The compd. shown by formula II is obtd. by nitrating dimethyl isophthalate with a conc. sulfuric acid and a conc. nitric acid, followed by reducing the obtd. nitro group. Thus, the titled material does not colors at a visible range, and has the excellent nonlinear effect and durability. |
