PURPOSE:To obtain an foamed article excellent in surface appearance having a grained pattern, by pressing a heated presser having a crepe pattern onto the surface of an foamed article made of a spedified soft vinyl chloride resin at the same speed as the running speed of the foamed article. CONSTITUTION:A foamed article made of a soft vinhl chloride resin containing 20-130pts.wt. of a plasticizer per 100pts.wt. of polyvinyl chloride is extruded through a die 2 from an extruder 1. The extruded expanded foam article 3 is carried into a cooling-water vessel, and cooled there to 80 deg.C or lower. A presser 5 having a crepe pattern and heated to 100-280 deg.C is continuously pressed onto the surface of the expanded foam article on a cradle 6 at the same speed as the running speed of the foamed article, to apply the crepe pattern onto the surface of the foamed article. The foamed article is drawn by a drawer 7, and severed to a predetermined length by a cutter 8. |
